Bacta’s latest engagement initiative will provide members with a direct link to the trade association courtesy of an anonymised Vox Pop style survey mechanic. Bacta Pulse, which is being launched as part of the President’s Update e-shot will provide a real time snap shot of attitudes and sentiment. The results will help inform policy, lobbying as well as the services that Bacta provides.
Bacta has announced the launch of Pulse, a Vox Pop style initiative that will provide an attitudinal snapshot of the concerns, key issues and business challenges facing Bacta members on a weekly basis.
The easy to answer questions will be included within the President’s Update e-shot which is sent to members each Friday. The yes/no and multiple choice style questions have been designed to take just seconds to respond to and will be hyperlinked to a secure platform which automatically collates and anonymises responses, providing valuable real-time insight into the views of operators across the sector.
Expanding on the initiative, Bacta Director of Communications Allaster Gair confirmed: “Bacta Pulse is part of our engagement programme with members. It enables us to, as the title suggests, take the pulse of the membership on a weekly basis. It will allow us to plot trends over time, identify stress points, and shine a light on the mood and sentiment of the industry as represented by Bacta. It will be an important part of our communications armoury and help inform our engagement with politicians, officials and regulators.
Gair believes the initiative will also add a new qualitative dimension to the evidence base used by the trade association. “The insights add a human dimension to evidence, offering a real-world perspective that traditional quantitative surveys often miss. By capturing genuine reactions, they deliver more compelling findings and provide a timely, cost-effective alternative to conventional market research programmes.”
Gair is also confident that Bacta Pulse will help shape the services the association provides and ensure they continue to reflect the evolving needs of members. “Vox Pops are frequently used by membership organisations to help identify service improvements” he stated. “Bacta is committed to a culture of continuous improvement driven by an understanding of members’ perceptions and priorities. Pulse provides an opportunity for members to contribute to the design of future services as well as Bacta’s overall direction of travel.
The first Bacta Pulse will explore topics including political sentiment across the membership, confidence in the future of the industry, the pressures businesses are currently facing and the extent to which operators are engaging with their local MPs.
Responses from the first Bacta Pulse survey will be analysed and covered in next week’s edition of Coinslot and published on the Bacta website: www.bacta.org.uk
