Continue Arcades opens third site in Swansea after securing 30 units

Continue Arcades has made its Welsh debut with the opening of its third site, with the retro gaming operator also announcing it has secured a further 30 units.

The first Continue Arcades venue was opened by founder Austin Wood in Plymouth in 2023, offering a mix of retro classics and consoles, alongside pinball machines and shooting, racing and table games. A second site followed in April, and the business has now expanded into Wales with the launch of a new venue in Swansea, marking its third location overall.

“Fantastic weekend at the launch of Continue Arcades Swansea. Record breaking sales for a launch! Said franchise consultant Joel Bissett. “A further 30 units have been secured, with sites opening all over the country in 2026.”

Bissett said the team is targeting significant growth and plans to open more than 80 sites over the next five years. In July, the business reached another milestone after securing its first ten franchise locations, underlining the pace of its expansion strategy.

The Swansea opening represents a further step in Continue Arcades’ roll-out as it looks to build a nationwide footprint built around nostalgic gaming experiences and a franchised growth model.
