Farage vows to “make Britain great again” during Llandudno Pier visit

Nigel Farage has pledged that Reform UK will be a “party of change” in Wales, urging voters not to “waste” their ballots on the Conservatives during a campaign visit to Llandudno ahead of the Senedd elections.

The Clacton MP was seen walking along Llandudno Pier on Monday, accompanied by security staff, where he stopped at a pie and pasty stall and told a vendor: “I’ll make Britain great again.”

Farage claimed Reform UK and Plaid Cymru were “neck and neck” in the polls, raising the prospect of Labour losing control of the devolved government.

“Plaid are not the party of change, they’ve actually propped up the Labour government to a very large extent here in Wales over much of the last quarter of a century,” he commented. “We are genuinely a party of change. Very, very different people.”

Speaking to small business owners, Farage promised that “confidence” will be the key to unlocking an economic boom.

“We’re going to be pro-business,” he concluded. “The other parties, particularly Labour and Plaid, don’t understand small business, don’t get it, what we’re going to do is bring back confidence and confidence will make the economy great.”
