Holidaymakers hail arcade at Burnham Pier as the home of UK’s top payouts

The arcade at Burnham-on-Sea Pier has been praised by holidaymakers as one of the UK’s most generous venues, with families taking to TripAdvisor to share their positive experiences during their visit to Britain’s shortest pier.

The arcade on Britain’s shortest pier has been singled out for praise by national papers including the Daily Mirror and the Daily Express, after visitors flooded TripAdvisor with positive reviews.

Burnham Pier Amusements, located on Britain’s shortest pier, was applauded for the variety of machines on offer, quality of customer service, and frequency that prizes were awarded, as well as its power to revive “the good old days.”

“Serving as the focal point of Burnham-on-Sea beach, which stays largely unspoilt, the pier truly represents the soul of this coastal community,” reported The Mirror. “Today it houses lively gaming and entertainment options, particularly welcome on those days when the weather drives you indoors.”

“Visitors can grab some classic fish and chips while watching the tide come in, or spend hours enjoying the extensive collection of arcade games and machines, which have earned quite a reputation in their own right.”

Writing on TripAdvisor, a recent visitor commented “we had a great time with the kids on the 2p machines; I’ve never been to an arcade where they pay out so much.”

“The staff were wandering round topping up constantly, and the prizes were good too! Fair play to the team because you could see they all genuinely loved it.”

Another visitor added “my kids love the 2p machines and sink a couple of pounds for some entertainment and win key rings, cuddly toys and tickets. Most machines pay out a decent amount of tickets, unlike other arcades that seem less generous.”

No mean machines
