Sound Leisure hosts Family Business Unit for Christmas charity food parcel initiative

Sound Leisure welcomed fellow members of trade organisation Family Business United to its Leeds warehouse on 4 December to pack hundreds of Christmas food hampers for charity.

The donations contained household essentials delivered by firms such as The Pantry UK Ltd, and will be distributed among families in need across Yorkshire.

“A fantastic morning at the factory today with Paul Andrews, Linda Andrews and Luke Consiglio from The Pantry UK Ltd along with a host of other Family Business United members who have all contributed to this year’s Family Business Festive Food Parcel celebration,” said Sound Leisure co-chair Chris Black.

“We were delighted to be asked to host this event once again and to help champion family businesses values far and wide. Thank you to all those who attended and supported this great cause with donations and food parcels. Our factory resembled a supermarket this morning rather than a manufacturing plant.”

Speaking after the collection, FBU founder Paul Andrews said: “Family Business United is all about families in business so what better way than bringing family firms together to collect food for families in need at Christmas.”

“We have collated a fabulous array of food for families in need across Yorkshire, identified by head teachers in schools, so the hampers from the Family Business Festive Food Parcel will make a difference where needed most.”
