UK bingo in resurgence as Buzz reports the first uptick in both admissions and sales since 2007

Buzz Bingo has delivered its first year of growth across both admissions and revenue since 2007, as bingo continues its resurgence in the UK, with modernised Buzz clubs also witnessing a 50 percent increase in new customers.

Buzz Bingo has announced its first increase in both revenue and admissions since 2007, with admissions up 2.5 percent year-on-year and growth accelerating to 5 percent in the second half of 2025, driven by investment into clubs and product innovations.

The brand has deployed more than 10,000 new electronic bingo touchpads and upgraded WiFi across all sites delivering a 5.6 percent boost in electronic play which is strongest among players aged over 65.

“Bingo is enjoying a real resurgence across the UK,” said CEO Dominic Mansour. “Delivering admissions and revenue growth together for the first time in nearly two decades shows that our investment in our omnichannel strategy including technology and innovation to improve the player experience is modernising the game and attracting a new generation of players.

“We expect to see even stronger growth in 2026 and beyond as we fully benefit from these investments.”

Refurbished clubs enjoyed a 20 percent growth in admissions and a 50 percent increase in new customers last year, with new customers increasing 13 percent year-on-year in the second half of 2025.

Following this strong performance, Buzz will continue to accelerate its club transformation programme throughout 2026 with technology, venues, and formats being updated to allow more players access to the latest innovations in the industry, including the fully integrated app and wallet, enabling players to move between retail and online.

Buzz’s omnichannel strategy also continues to play a central role in the business’s growth. Active omnichannel customers increased by 10 percent in the second half of 2025, while online revenue from active retail customers also grew by 10 percent.

Additionally, online engagement through the Buzz Bingo app has risen during the same period, with stakes placed via the app more than doubling in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared to the previous year.

“This performance is especially strong given the uncertainty around the Budget last year and, while we welcome the Government’s decision to abolish Bingo Duty, it will be important that the sector and omnichannel businesses in particular benefit from a stable regulatory environment so this positive momentum can continue.”
