Red Engine is set to open its 17th UK Flight Club venue in Exeter this December, creating 50 jobs as the social darts operator continues its regional expansion.
The 11,916 sq ft venue will open on 11 December in the former Revolution premises on Queen Street, spanning two floors with capacity for 300 guests and ten semi-private playing areas.
The opening follows recent launches in Oxford, Newcastle and Reading, and marks Flight Club’s second south west location after Bristol.
“Exeter has been on our list for a while,” commented co-founder Steve Moore. “It’s got a big student population, a strong after-work crowd and a wider Devon catchment that comes into the city for a night out.”
The move also brings Flight Club back to its Devon roots, where Moore and fellow founder Paul Barham first conceived the concept after watching a crowd playing darts in a pub in 2012.
