The amusements industry is mourning the passing of Wayne Peak, director of Sandown Pier on the Isle of Wight and a long-standing Bacta member.
A popular and respected figure within the sector, Peak was highly regarded by colleagues and friends throughout the industry.
“It is with great sadness that I share with you that long-time Bacta member Wayne Peak, of Sandown Pier, has sadly passed away,” Bacta president Joseph Cullis wrote to members. “Wayne was a well-known and valued figure within the industry, with strong connections to many showmen families. He will be remembered fondly by colleagues and friends across the sector.”
The association extended its sincere condolences to Wayne’s family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time.
Wayne Peak’s funeral will take place at 2.15pm on Tuesday 10 November at the Isle of Wight Crematorium. His wife, Elizabeth, has requested family flowers only, with those wishing to pay tribute invited to make donations in his memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
