Dymchurch Amusement Park co-owner Jacob Woolls was able to represent the Kent amusements sector at Downing Street last week, after being invited to the Great British Summer Savings reception.
Woolls attended as the guest of Folkestone and Hythe MP Tony Vaughan, meeting with policymakers such as Rachel Reeves to explain the economic and cultural importance of family attractions.
“We’re proud to see Jacob from Dymchurch Amusement Park representing our sector at Downing Street,” said a Bacta spokesperson.

The reception was held to mark the launch of the Summer Savings scheme, the temporary reduction in VAT to 5 percent on children’s meals, family attractions and entertainment.
Commenting on the scheme’s local impact, Vaughan said: “9,648 families in our area can enjoy cheaper days out at the cinema, theme parks, soft play and kids’ meals in restaurants.”
