National Bingo Week 2026 celebrates bingo at its best with more than 20 MP visits

National Bingo Week 2026 saw more than 20 MPs visit their local bingo halls across the country to speak to staff and even call the numbers, with clubs able to demonstrate first-hand the sector’s huge contribution to local communities.

The Bingo Association has hailed National Bingo Week 2026 as “another success,” with activities taking place in clubs across the country, as well as on social media and radio, celebrating everything that makes bingo special.

One of the standout features of this year’s campaign was the strong political engagement, with more than 20 MPs visiting clubs in their constituencies, allowing operators to demonstrate the social and community value of the game.

“During their visits, MPs had the chance to meet customers, chat with teams and see first-hand the important social and community role that bingo clubs continue to play,” said a spokesperson. “Some MPs even had the opportunity to call the numbers during a game, giving them a real taste of the energy, fun and atmosphere of a live bingo session.”

“The week also had a strong charity focus, with a special charity game taking place on the Friday in support of Variety, the Children’s Charity. The activity helped raise an incredible £20,000, with many visiting MPs also present for cheque presentations in clubs.”

The week ended on “a real high” on 28 June, with a guaranteed £250,000 jackpot on the National Bingo Game shared by 35 winners around the country.

“Some clubs even had multiple winners on the night, adding to the excitement and giving customers another brilliant reason to celebrate. Wigan was the luckiest town with four winners spread out over the two clubs in the town.”

“National Bingo Week 2026 was a powerful reminder of what bingo does best. It brings people together, creates memorable moments and continues to offer one of the most social, welcoming, and affordable leisure experiences around.”

The members of parliament who visited clubs included Torsten Bell at Morriston Castle Leisure, Graeme Downie at Carlton Bingo Dunfermline, Amanda Hack at Coalville Palace, Perran Moon at Majestic Camborne, Jo Platt at BJ’s Luxury Bingo Leigh, Catherine McKinnell at Ritz Bingo Newcastle, and Lillian Jones at Club 3000 Kilmarnock.

Graham Leadbitter also visited Carlton Bingo Elgin, while Natalie Fleet visited Regors B&S Club Creswell, and Jonathan Davies met customers at Ritz Bingo Belper. Club 3000 Blackpool welcomed Chris Webb, and Castle Leisure Merthyr Tydfil welcomed Gerald Jones, while Richard Tice was at Roman Bank Bingo Skegness, and Martin McCluskey visited Club 3000 Greenock.
