500 local authorities attend the Gambling Commission’s gaming machines seminar

Hundreds of representatives from local authorities attended the Gambling Commission’s webinar on gaming machine regulation last week.

The free session, led by the Commission’s regulatory delivery manager Jane Blade, included guidance on all aspects of licensing and permitted machine placement.

“Our compliance team held a webinar for local authorities on gaming machines,” said a Commission spokesperson.

“514 local authority licensing officers and Police officers attended to learn more about gaming machine legal requirements, where machines can be sited, different types of machines they may find during visits, and dealing with illegal machine siting and supply. Thanks to Jane Blade and the team for an insightful session.”

Commenting on the strong attendance after the webinar, Blade said: “A whopping 514 of our co-regulators attended our free webinar on gaming machines this morning. Thank you all so much for attending and we hope you found it useful!”
