Game Nation community of colleagues and customers driven by life-changing CHIPS partnership

The CHIPS charity continues to make a profound impact on youngsters denied the gift of freedom. Game Nation announced its partnership with the gambling industry charity last summer and the company’s CEO Mark Jepp reflects on the importance of ‘giving’ and how CHIPS is changing lives.

‘A powerful and moving example of the impact that the CHIPS Charity has on the lives of young people and their families’ is how Game Nation CEO Mark Jepp described the feedback received from the family of 12-year-old Alfie who was presented with his Game Nation funded bespoke wheelchair six months ago.

In a communication shared with Game Nation and CHIPS charity co-founder Linda Lindsay the family confirmed: “We are writing to let you know how much Alfie is enjoying his wheelchair.

“It has greatly increased his independence and allowed him to keep up with his siblings on family outings. Alfie is soon going on a school residential trip to Devon where he and other children in his year will be staying on a farm and exploring the surrounding area. Without his new wheelchair he would struggle to join in many of the planned activities and excursions so thank you Linda and the team at Game Nation for making this possible.”

Expanding on the impact of adopting CHIPS as Game Nation’s charity partner Mark Jepp said: “We began fundraising for CHIPS in late summer 2025 and so far, we’ve raised in excess of £30,000 – which has funded three wheelchairs. The first Game Nation chair was presented to Alfie and his family in Southampton in October last year. Everyone who attended experienced what was an amazing and uplifting day that really crystalised the great work that CHIPS continues to undertake funding equipment that the NHS cannot provide and that parents cannot afford themselves.

“To receive such powerful feedback from Alfie’s family demonstrates the pivotal role that CHIPS plays in transforming lives. The great thing about CHIPS and what connected with us is the knowledge that no one takes a salary or receives expenses. This means that every single last penny that we raise goes directly to purchasing wheelchairs and providing youngsters with the gift of freedom. Being able to have such a profound and positive impact is what motivates the Game Nation community of colleagues and customers. Our focus is now on hitting our next target and presenting what will be our fourth chair in less than a year!”
