As the great and the good of the industry prepare for what promises to be the social highlight of the year the Bacta Charitable Trust (BCT) has announced a programme of ‘pledges’ which have been created to help brands and businesses build their profile at the same time as generating funds for the BCT’s supported charities.
Businesses who want to put their brand front and centre stage at June’s sold-out Bacta Charity Ball, which for the first time is being held at Claridge’s, have the opportunity to make pledges at three different levels.
Announced by the Bacta Charitable Trust the three pledge levels are Platinum at £3,000, Gold £2,000 and Silver £1,000. A total of 30 pledges – comprising ten from each category – are available with supporting businesses appearing in the souvenir Bacta Ball brochure which will include a separate page for each pledge level and pledgees listed accordingly. The Brochure will appear at the Ball and reproduced in Coinslot as well as being posted on the Bacta website after the event.
Trustee Nick Harding explained: “Rather than sell individual sponsorships we have instead opted to offer businesses the opportunity to make pledges at three different levels.
“All monies raised will be administered by the Bacta Charitable Trust with the Lion’s share going to our two designated charities, Rays of Sunshine and Little Lifts. In addition, we are always keen to receive applications from members on the basis of ‘matched funding’ for charities that they may be raising funds for.
“The one addition to the pledge format is the Champagne reception which can be sponsored. If any members and guests are interested in supporting this high-profile feature, they are welcome to contact myself or John Bollom to discuss the opportunity further.”
The demand for tables has been unprecedented with a waiting list introduced within a fortnight of the Ball being announced. Nick Harding believes that Bacta members have responded with gusto to the prospect of supporting the BCT in one of London’s most celebrated hotels.
He said: “Claridge’s is an iconic London venue which has hosted royalty, Hollywood stars and international dignitaries. The opportunity to meet with colleagues, host customers, raise money for two wonderful charities and in the process recreate some of the glitz of the old Bacta Ball which brought the curtains down on ATEI and which consistently filled the famous Grosvenor House Hotel. Of course, we have some way to go to match that but what we have seen is that the appetite exists for a prestige charity ball in the heart of London.”
