Bowling Vision to launch new “vintage arcade bar, pizza parlour and gaming den” brand in Kettering

Bowling Vision, the company behind bowling equipment supplier Brunswick, is to open a new “vintage arcade bar, pizza parlour and gaming den” concept in Kettering, with the first Lucky Chuck’s Leisure Lounge due to open in the new year.

Bowling Vision, the firm behind bowling equipment supplier Brunswick, has announced the launch of a new 1970s-themed bowling and pizza brand named Lucky Chuck’s Leisure Lounge, with the first proof-of-concept venue opening in Kettering in the new year.

The two-storey site will be managed by a new operating company Accelerated Play, run by Brunswick’s owner Jack Trend, Leon’s former head of food Benny Peverelli, and LeisureTech Services director Matt Barnwell.

“The town centre has been crying out for fresh entertainment, and with all the energy being invested locally by people like Love Kettering, the mayor and local councillors it felt like the right time to give the town what it needs,” Trend told the Northamptonshire Telegraph.

“We launch many concepts each year with independent operators, it’s great to be able to do something special in our own hometown.”

Once open, the venue will occupy the former Mister Ray’s department store in Kettering’s Market Place building, with the £1m refurbishment currently underway to create a ground floor arcade, bar and pizza restaurant, while the second floor will feature a host of competitive socialising titles.

“The venue will showcase and test the latest entertainment technology, coming to Kettering first before being offered to the clients such as Hollywood Bowl, Tenpin, Roxy Ball Room, Lane7, Brewdog and NQ64,” reported the Telegraph.

“Guests will discover rooms packed with computerised darts, shuffleboard and mini golf like you’ve never seen them before, along with American pool, pinball and space to host everyone from solo or couples’ to private parties of up to 200.”
