Buzz Bingo has announced that its partnership with the Stroke Association has raised £300,000 over the past three years, reflecting “the generosity and commitment of Buzz Bingo’s colleagues and customers across the UK.”
The collaboration aimed to help tackle the social isolation experienced following a stroke, with Buzz’s clubs rallying behind the cause through charity bingo games, local fundraising events and creative initiatives.
“This achievement isn’t just about the money,” said CEO Dominic Mansour. “Every sponsored walk or run, every tea party and charity bingo game has built connections in our community. Bingo itself can support motor and cognitive skills, so supporting stroke survivors in their recovery and giving them a place to socialise felt like a natural fit.”
“One of my favourite moments was seeing our exclusively designed charity dabbers in action when a local stroke support group played bingo; a fun project that helped raise thousands while sparking conversations about stroke.”
Milestones of the three-year campaign have included the raising of £170,000 through official charity games, £50,868 from collection tins in clubs, £15,000 from dabber sales, £20,735 from local events, and £75,000 from Buzz Bingo sponsorship.
Beyond fundraising, Buzz Bingo clubs also hosted local stroke support groups, providing a welcoming and accessible space for people affected by stroke to socialise and connect with their communities.
