A new FEC is to open in Boscombe’s Sovereign Centre this month, offering local families a “huge” multi-level soft play space and arcade.
Lux Play is the brainchild of business owners Sarbaz Roushbaini and Martin MacGillivray, and will open its doors on 23 May.
“It’s out of my comfort zone, but it’s been stressful and exciting at the same time,” MacGillivray told the Bournemouth Echo. “We’ve been full-on for the past couple of months getting everything ready.”
“There’s nothing quite like this locally. We wanted to create something that has something for everyone, from babies right up to teenagers.”
Lux Play will feature a three-level, 11 metre soft play structure as its central attraction, alongside a dedicated baby play area, and an arcade featuring more than 40 machines all operated on a token system.
MacGillivray and Roushbaini have been joined by Jack Oswell and Rares Cucosas from JNR Innovations as lead engineers, as well as Connor Denton from Masterclass Exteriors, with MacGillivray adding “we are all family men and we know how expensive soft play can be.”
“We wanted to make it cheaper but still good quality so families on a budget can enjoy it.”
