MERKUR UK used its annual company golf day to raise important funds to assist the vital work undertaken by the Children’s Bereavement Centre. Based in Newark, the home town of MERKUR UK’s Blueprint brand, the Centre provides a safe, secure, professional and comforting environment for children from the age of 3-years.
Team members from the MERKUR UK family of brands comprising Blueprint Operations, MERKUR Slots, Blueprint Gaming and Regal Gaming Technologies came together at the company’s annual charity golf tournament to drive, pitch, putt and chip their way around the award-winning Norwood Park course with money raised donated to the Newark-based Children’s Bereavement Centre.
The four teams competed for inter-company bragging rights with MERKUR Slots retaining the title. The individual winner was MERKUR Slot’s Steve Ambrose who won on countback edging past Blueprint Gaming’s Jack Lawson.
MERKUR Slots Simon Quach and Blueprint Gaming’s Jack Lawson won the longest drive with Matt Bicknall (Regal Gaming Technologies) winning nearest the Pin on hole 7 and Adam Warner (MERKUR Slots) and Mark Hull (Blueprint Gaming) tying with the nearest the pin on the 12th Hole.
Andy Tipple, Managing Director of Blueprint Operations, said: “This was the third year of running the tournament which has been created to provide a relaxed and informal environment in which to connect with colleagues across the business. As always, the golf was very competitive with MERKUR Slots winning by a narrow two shot margin.”
He continued: “We multiplied the total points tally to generate a charity pot of £2,140 which we have donated to the Children’s Bereavement Centre which is based in Blueprint’s home town of Newark.
“The Centre is open to children aged 3 to 18-years and provides a safe, secure and comforting environment for them and their families to receive the help and guidance they need at one of the most devastating times in their lives. It’s a wonderful and kind charity that we are extremely proud to support.”
