NQ64 has officially opened its largest venue, having transformed a former nightclub in central Soho into a two-floor arcade and gaming bar featuring 60 machines, pool tables and AR darts.
The site is located in Orange Yard on Manette Street, and includes two cocktail bars boasting banks of vintage gaming consoles, with the entire space decorated in the brand’s signature UV graffiti.
“We started NQ64 in the Northern Quarter with a simple idea: put the games we loved into a bar we’d actually want to spend the night in,” said co-founder Andy Haygarth. “Orange Yard is the biggest version of that we’ve ever built.”
“We’ve got more than 60 arcade games, we’ve added pool and darts for the first time, and we’ve somehow managed to fit it all into the middle of Soho. Opening the doors here is a huge moment for us and we can’t wait to see what people make of it.”
NQ64 previously operated a venue on nearby Berwick Street, however the expansion represents a bold statement of intent for Europe’s largest retro arcade bar franchise.
Speaking on plans for the future, a spokesperson said the brand’s identity “rooted in the games, music and culture of the 1990s and 2000s,” continues to resonate “with a new generation of visitors.”
