The #VATsTheProblem campaign has launched an online shop offering hospitality businesses a range of promotional materials designed to encourage customers to back calls for a reduced VAT rate for the sector.
Operators can download and print campaign assets including posters, beer mats, tent cards and receipt inserts to display in venues and help drive support for a proposed 10 per cent hospitality VAT rate. The materials are available in formats suitable for both in-house printing and commercial print providers.
The campaign, led by chef Tom Kerridge and supported by industry bodies including UKHospitality, the British Beer and Pub Association, the British Institute of Innkeeping and CODE Hospitality, has already attracted 235,075 signatures.
Hospitality businesses are being encouraged to make use of the resources ahead of the campaign’s consumer launch on 1 July, as organisers work towards a target of one million signatures.
